Milton W. Winter, 78, of Hampton, NJ, died on Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 in Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
He was born on August 21, 1927 in Glendon, Pa, a son of the late Harry W., and Louise Randolph Winter. He married Shizuko Yanagihara, on Dec. 29, 1952 in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan, during his tour of duty with the US Army.
He was a storekeeper, employed by the New Jersey Water Authority, Clinton, NJ. He served during World War II and the Korean War in the Army from 1946 to 1947 and from 1949 to 1954.
Milton was an H O gauge train hobbyist, and a former member of the Hampton Rescue Squad.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shizuko, who died in 2002, his mother and father; brothers, Wesley, Henry, and William, and two sisters, Harriet Milligan and Ella Bowlby.
He is survived by a son, Steven and his wife, Sharon of Phillipsburg, NJ; a grandson, Matthew; a granddaughter, Rebecca; and many nieces and nephews.
