Dorris Dianna Hesher, 85, formerly of the Gypsum area, died Monday, May 27, at Jess Parrish Memorial Hospital, Titusville, Florida.

She was born August 28, 1899 in Gypsum, Kansas. She was the daughter of Dr. Edward Wayne and Bertha Hall Hawthorne. She was married November 1, 1919, to Bert Hesher in Gypsum, Kansas. She lived in Gypsum until 1947 when she moved to Larned, Kansas, where she lived until 1981 before moving to Titusville, Florida.

She was a housewife. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Entra Nous Club, both of Gypsum.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert, who died January 31, 1981, her parents, and two sisters, Vera Jones and Nola Williamson.

She is survived by four children: Mrs. Dixie Bogart of Gypsum, Kansas, Mrs. Sibyl Netherton of Titusville, Florida, Wayne Hesher of Larned, Kansas, and Bill Hesher of Titusville, Florida; two sisters, Marjorie Hawthorne of Anahuac, Texas and Mrs. Marowyn Flinn of Georgetown, Texas; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, in the Gypsum Cemetery, the Rev. Jerry Broschart officiating. Friends may call at Karber's Gillum Funeral, Home, Gypsum, until 10:30 a.m. Friday. The family suggests memorials to the Gypsum Ambulance Service in care of one of the family members.
