Mildred "Milly" McColley, 76, of Shelbyville died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at her home.
Born Jan. 22, 1932, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Frank and Grace (Hendrickson) Applegate. She married Jim McColley on June 11, 1950, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1999.
Survivors include her sons, Kerry "K.D." McColley and Tony McColley, both of Shelbyville, and Rickey McColley of Curacao, Netherlands; daughter, Roxanne (husband, Randy) Suits of Shelbyville; sister, Rosie Scudder of Shelbyville; brother, Harold Applegate of Decatur County; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Merrill Applegate, Benny Applegate and Francis Applegate.
Mrs. McColley was a lifelong Shelby County resident.
She had been a customer service manager at Wal-Mart for 12 years. She previously had been a production worker at General Electric/Wellman for 31 years.
Mrs. McColley graduated from Waldron High School in 1950.
She loved to play bingo, travel to the riverboat, bowling, and standardbred horse racing.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
