Cothran Lewis Adams, 72, of 111 Bowen Drive, husband of Frances Ellison Adams, passed away Monday, June 15, 2009 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Columbus and Lucy Anderson Adams.
Mr. Adams was retired from Ryobi and was a member of Pickens Independent Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Mike Adams and his wife, Sara Lee, of Pickens and Hugh Adams and his wife, Lisa, of Blue Ridge; four grandchildren, David Adams, Mike Adams and his wife, Tonya, Keylan Adams, and Coby Adams; a sister, Kathy Adams of Simpsonville; and two brothers, Joe Adams of Six Mile and Brooks Adams of Pickens.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Pickens Independent Baptist Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Compassus Hospice, 500 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
The family will be at the home.
