Denis Lee Alley, was a son of Wendell Theodore & Doris Lee (Toon) Alley. He was born in the old Sanitarium of Paris in Paris, TX. His parents' home was in Cooper. In 1956 he entered first grade in Cooper Elementary school. At midterm the Alleys moved to Vasco & the school age children entered East Delta School. Denis' first teacher there was Mrs. Alpha Aldridge. The Alley family moved back to Cooper in 1960. Denis excelled in football in Jr. high & high school. He married Feb. 3, 1968, Judy Alley, daughter of Quentin & Neva Nell (Wilson) Allen. One child, Carmon Kay, was born to them. She has a son & a daughter. Carmon is a RT,RM, RDMS. Judy retired after working 20 yrs at a Texarkana bank. Denis was a highway patrolman with the state of Texas ten years. He was owner of Delta Equipment & Auction Co. at New Boston, TX. & a licensed auctioneer. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas State University, Texarkana, TX. He was a member of Church of God, New Boston, TX. where his funeral was held, with Pastor C.C. Wiley officiating. Funeral services by direction of the Delta Funeral Home, Wendell Theodore Alley II director.

Denis' siblings: two brothers and three sisters.
