Lillie was the daughter of Jonathan Judson Wood and Rebecca Emmeline Cathey. After seven years of courting she married Andrew Augustus " Andy" Crain on November 18, 1900 at her parents home in Towns County, Georgia. They had two daughters. Jesse Blon and Ruth Emmeline. Her husband Andy died in 1908 at the age of 34. Lillie never remarried. Raising her two daughters by herself.
