He was the son of William Lafayette Britt & Varna Carlisle.
Jack lived in Fort Worth all of his life until moving to Midland five years ago. He owned and operated B.J. Britt Construction Co. and was vice-president of Sabine Valley Lumber Company. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors: Daughters, Karen Glidden and husband David, of Bedford and Linda Kahler and husband, Gary, of Midland; twin sister, Jean Thompson and husband, Ted, of Dallas; and grandchildren, Aaron and Caribe Kahler.
