WALTER R. "WALLY" RITTENBAUGH - 65 Walter R. "Wally" Rittenbaugh, 65, of Uwchland, and formerly of Phoenixville, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Chester County Hospital, West Chester, PA. Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Edwin M. and Helen V. (Taylor) Rittenbaugh. He served in the United States Army . Wally work for many years for his father Edwin Moses Rittenbaugh at Rittenbaugh's Exxon in Phoenixville, Till Edwin J. Rittenbaugh & wife Sherri took over the business apond his father death. He was a member of West End Fire Company, Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company and the Slovak Club in Phoenixville. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hobbies such as painting, photography and stained glass craftsmanship. Surviving are three children: Ed Rittenbaugh and wife Chris of Kimberton; Kelly Ann Rittenbaugh of Pottstown; Eric N. Rittenbaugh of Parker Ford; six grandchildren: Clayton, Kiana, Victor, Jr., Maddison, Tristan and Talia. Former wife, Ruth Ann Rittenbaugh & Barbara Rittenbaugh. Loving companion, Joan Potter; two sisters: Jane Davis and husband Robert, Sr.; and Rosemarie Schrump wife of the late Harry Shrump. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin James Rittenbaugh and Nephew, Michael (Mikey) Shrump. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
