Ozark ------ Mrs. Rhea Davisson Smith, 92, of Ozark, died late Monday night, July 3, 1995 in the Oakview Manor Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday (July 7) at 11:00 a. m. from the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Billy Gaither and the Rev. Pam Huff officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning at 5:00 p. m. Thursday (July 6) and the family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p. m Thursday evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Ozark/Dale County Library.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Richmond, Ind., having lived in Ozark since 1950 where she and her late husband, Leo Jay Smith, owned and operated Smith Sundries for a number of years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Alabama Garden Club, the Pilot Club, and the Friends of the Ozark/Dale County Chamber of Commerce and served the Chamber as safety chairman. She was preceded in death by two sons, Frank and Thomas Smith.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Robert H. Smith, Bayside, N. Y.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
