ASHLAND - Lucy Bardee Autry, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Briarcrest Nursing Home. She was born May 18, 1922, in Tippah County to James Edward Ford and Grace Simpson. She was a lifelong member of Ashland Baptist Church, where she was a pre-school Sunday School teacher for many years. She was an accomplished seamstress and an employee of the ABC Factory in Ashland for more than 25 years. She was a loving wife, and devoted mother and grandmother.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ashland Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Autry officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Emerrill F. Autry and James Autrey (Frances), both of Marrero, La.; three grandchildren, Russell Autry, Kippi Fortunato and Kimberly Root; eight great-grandchildren, Rachel Autry, Nathan Autry, Hannah Autry, Grace Fortunato, Sophia Fortunato, Riley Fortunato, Savannah Root and Micayla Root.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Autry; her parents; and a brother, Nelson Ford.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Sturday at the church
