John Wesley Blalock, a resident of Baker, was born on April 7, 1977. He passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Lane Regional Medical Center, Zachary.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Cynthia Blalock; sisters, Penny Travis and her husband, Reed, Tina Kennedy and her husband, Brian, Bonnie Blalock and Stephanie Gueho; brother and best friend, Michel Blalock; and grandparents, L.C. and Bonnie Drummond. He was a loving uncle to Julian, Alexandra, Colton, Alyssa, Kobi and Barron. He is also survived by a large extended family. Master and friend to Libby, his cherished boxer.
Preceded in death by his father, Hilton Blalock; grandparents, Henry and Margot Blalock; uncles, Earl, James and Michel Blalock; and cousin, Henry Earl Blalock.
Pallbearers will be Michel Blalock, Chris Blalock, James Carl Blalock, Michael Christopher Blalock, Eric Blalock and Bill Hearld. Honorary pallbearers are Reed Travis, Brian Kennedy and Chris Richard.
John has left the freedom of his Harley for the freedom of heaven and the company of his father. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all his family and friends whose comfort is the thought of father and son together again.
