Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Mathew 5: 4.

Mourn we will do, for Jessie for a long time to come. Our young talented, loving and generous Jessie has been called home to heaven. his time here with us has been cut short..

Jessie loved life and all it had to offer. He contributed to his community, school and lives of his family and friends. Jessie was a well loved young man. He still had one more mission, one in which we all hated to see him go to. For that he had to leave those he loved behind until they gather as a family in heaven..

Jessie had a call to share himself with those he cherished as well as those who were acquaintances, everyone was his friend. He felt if he could mentor just one more scout or help a friend through a tough time, he was most happy then. .

His parents did an outstanding job of parenting Jessie. Everything Jessie was, is because of the values Roy and Kelly instilled in Jessie..

This is the very reason Jessie had one more mission, because of his humble life, and loving concern for others and his selfless act on June 9th 2013. This is their mission, Jessie has gone to heaven to find Megan Wakeham to forgive her. This is the type of young man Jessie Scott Leeper is. Rest in Peace my sweet nephew..
Love and Hugs,.

Hmm where to begin. I thought he was too damn tough and would walk right thru this. But GOD had a better plan. .got a call from my son Cody Zimmerline Tuesday June 18 as I was out at the Adair Casey School mowing the football field. He called just as I crossed the west end zone where Jessie had shoved many a defense out of the way so a TD could be scored. Cody wanted to leave work and go to Iowa C...ity as Jessie had taken a turn for the worse. Cody was shaken up pretty bad. I was at school mowing the ground where Jessie Leeper / Prayers For Jessie Leeper graduated from Adair Casey High School in 2011. I was on the football field where he played football and helped win MANY games in making the playoffs. Went to the semi finals in 2010. I continued to mow and went past where he heaved the shot put and qualified for the State Track meet in 2011. Mowed on by the discuss arena where he heaved the discuss. As I went on I made it to the weight room where Jessie lifted MANY hours. He was strong as an elephant. I am sure many records were set by him in the weight room. Mowed by the playground where he played in elementary. And then by the front where he walked out as a graduate in May 2011 which I photographed. I was able to chaperone/photograph the Class of 2011 on their Senior trip to Washington D.C. He was always a CLASSY kid as was the whole class on that trip. That CLASS did everything together and always included everyone. Think Jessie had something to do with that in hindsight. I left the school and went back to Adair. Headed to the City Park to mow. Mowed the ball field where he played tball league and during the summer all over the park. I went by the white posts that border the park so people do not drive on the grass. These posts were replaced by Jessie as his project to become an Eagle Scout. He asked me to help him and I drilled the post holes for him. He was so proud of his project when he was done. I remember him thanking me and sending me a thank you card. I was also able to attend and photograph the day he became an Eagle Scout. That day was quite an accomplishment for him and the other boys who attained this great honor. They were smiling like no other. After getting the park mowed, I needed fuel and went to Kum & Go where I got diesel and went in to pay where he was working many times. You always got a HEY JIM, How you doing? with a great big smile. Then this morning I needed to get Sunnyhill and St John's Cemeteries mowed. Never have I had thoughts like that out there. Maybe back when my Uncle passed away. But don't recall. Was really tough mowing today out there. Hour and a half of thoughts and then I thought about writing this. Thoughts about the last 2 days mowing and everywhere I went this young man with that smile bigger than life and a heart of gold was there. He was class behind my son so they were in everything together. I am glad I got to see him grow into the fine young man that he became. He always had a smile on his face. He always was a smart ass...but always in a good way. His pranks were the good kind. I never heard him say ANYTHING BAD about ANYONE. He was always positive. In sports and in life. He would always help you. He would always wave or say hi. He was a great young man and role model to all. I hope some kids and everyone take what Jessie has shown and pass it on. Treat others as you yourself want to be treated and you will earn the RESPECT that Jessie has earned. I see so many people saying he was their BEST FRIEND. I can see that and I think he was a BEST FRIEND to every person he met. He had so much HEART and that is what kept him with us as long as he hung on. Your family, friends, and community will miss you. You will never be forgotten Jessie. GOD BLESS YOU MR JESSIE LEEPER, REST IN PEACE and keep smiling down on us.
