Marjorie "Midge" Eileen Hamilton, 94, of Farmington, passed away Saturday (Oct. 15, 2011) at Fazio's Elder Care Home in Monongah.
She was born July 4, 1917, in Fairview, a daughter of the late James and Pearl Matthews Toothman.
Midge was married to the late Glen Hamilton, with whom she made her home for 69 years. She was a 1936 graduate of Farmington High School, and a homemaker known for her deli­cious cooking. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Farmington where she was a member of the Women's Society. She served as a Girl Scout leader and a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed hosting Sunday dinners at her home and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Andy Suplita of Farmington; a son and daughter-in-law, Fay and Terry Hamilton of Katy; a sister-in­law, Pauline Toothman of Kingwood; six grandchildren, Donna Suplita of Farmington, Brent Suplita and wife Rose of Katy, Todd Suplita and wife Tiffany of Monongah, Lisa Corley and husband Brian of Monumental, Lori Moore and husband C.W. of Fairmont, and Scott Hamilton and wife Becky of Idamay; seven great-grand­children, Carly and Caden Suplita, Mikayla and Christian Moore, Dylan Corley, and Morgan and Shelby Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Midge was preceded in death by her brothers, Daryl Toothman and wife Phyllis, Kenneth Toothman and wife Louise, and Robert Toothman; her mother-in-law and father-in­law, Lorena and Arlie Hamilton; and brothers-in-law and sisters­in- law, Walter "Bud" Hamilton, Clark and Helen Hamilton, and Helen and Roy Haught.
The family would like to thank Cora Fazio and her staff at Fazio's Elder Care Home for the wonderful care Midge received the past year.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. today at Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Main Street United Methodist Church in Farmington with Pastor Keith Lewis officiating. Mrs. Hamilton will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Farmington.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Suplita, Todd Suplita, Scott Hamilton, C.W. Moore, Christian Moore and Brian Corley.
