GALLUP- Funeral Services for Esther Romero, 60, will be held at 10a.m., Monday, Oct. 5 at St. John Vianney. Father Walter Opalewski will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4 at Rollie Mortuary.

Romero died Oct. 2 in Gallup. She was born March 7, 1938.

Romero was a member of St. John Vianney Church and retired from Juan De Onate Elementary School in 1996.

Survivors include daughters, Sabrina Arthur and Arlene Romero, both of Gallup, Sarah Galvan of Riverside, Calif.: sister, Vera Garcia of Gallup, Mary Lopez and Rosie Sandoval, both of Price, Utah; brothers, Carlos Gonzales and Antonio Gonzales, both of Sandy, Utah, Lawrence Gonzales and Pete Gonzales both of West Valley, Utah, John Gonzales of West Jordan, Utah and 6 grandchildren.

Romero was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Romero; son, Mark Romero; parents, Pedro Gonzales and Guadalupe Gonzales; brothers, Frank Gonzales, Juanito Gonzales, Lino Gonzales and Victor Gonzales and sister, Julia Martinez.

Pallbearers will be Alan Arthur, Timothy Delgado, Phil Galvan, Lance Gilchrist, Patrick Madrid and Edward Romero Jr.

Rollie Mortuary of Gallup has charge of the arrangements.
