James was the son of Ambroise Onesime Bourdon and Marie Louise Georgianna Lafreniere born in Trois-Rivieres, Canada. He emigrated in 1866 and was married on Apr 29, 1877 to Flora Couture in Rochester, NH . They had ten children. Joseph, Mary, Rosa, Walter, Jennie, Michael "Mack," Everett, Arther, Edna or Phylis and James.
Joseph, Arthur and James died in infancy.
Mary married Augustus Tilden Clark.
Rosa married William Blodgett Clark, brother of Augustus.
Walter married Vina Brown.
Jennie married John Leaver.
Mack married Lena King whose last was also registered as "Jolin."
Everett died in France during WWI and is buried at Calavary Cemetery in Concord NH.
Edna who also went by the name of Phylis married Ervin Kelley.
James was orginally buried at the NH State Hospital Cemetery, Concord, Merrimack, New Hampshire. It is reported that while lumbering in Loudon, he suffered a serious head injury then sent to NH Hospital where he died shortly thereafter. He was later reburied with his wife on September 08, 1921 at the Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, Merrimack, New Hampshire. Note his marker indicates his birth year as 1847 but it is actually 1855.
