Isabella Story was born on June 16, 1849, at Hannastown, a daughter of William and Sara Story. William Story was a brick manufacturer. Brick from his plant was used in the Westmoreland county home and in the construction of many of the brick homes throughout Unity and Hempfield Twps.
Sibbie married Thomas G. McClarran, and they became the parents of twin daughters.
Sibbie lived with her family in McClarran, Pa., until shortly after the death of her husband in 1912. She then moved to Latrobe to live with her surviving daughter, Daisy Oursler.
At the age of 89, Mrs. Sibbie McClarran, widow of the late Thomas G. McClarran, died at 4:30 o'clock, on March 18, 1939, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Oursler, on Chestnut Street, where she had made her home for the past 26 years.
Mrs. McClarran was the last survivor of a family of 13 children. Had she lived until the following June 16th she would have been 90 years of age.
