Mrs. Sarah Jane Baker, 88, of Goreville died Friday in Marion Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for three weeks.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Cedar Grove Methodist Church west of Buncombe, with Rev. William Lirely, pastor of Joppa Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery. The Van Natta Funeral Chapel, Goreville is in charge.

Born in Johnson County August 25, 1877, Mrs. Baker was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Billingsley.

She married James Robert Baker who died June 26, 1957.

Mrs. Baker was a member of the Goreville Methodist Church.

She leaves behind sons Sam Baker, Ed Baker and Orby Baker, all of Marion; daughters Mrs. Dorothy Hudgens of Davenport, Iowa, Mrs. Mae Dalton and Mrs. Elsie Stout, both of Buncombe, Mrs. Genevieve Wiggs of Sparta and Mrs. Evelyn Gold, Waukegan.

She also leaves sisters, Mrs. Alice Brading of Little Rock, Ark. and Mrs. Ola Stanley of Monroe, La., 27 grand-children, 76 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
