John Arthur Baker, age 55 formerly of Lovelady, passed away Tuesday May 23, 2000 in Houston. Mr. Baker was born May 15, 1945 in Crockett. Mr. Baker graduated from Lovelady High School and Sam Houston State University. He spent the majority of his working years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. He adored and greatly enjoyed his grandchildren! And boy did ye ever love his fishing! Most of his friends and all of his family will quickly tell you that they probably remember him most for quick wit and his tremendous sense of humor. He could always find the humor in any situation. He certainly helped ease the pain at more than one of our family funerals. We hope we can recall some of these occasions during our time of grief for him.
