Polly Truax was the daughter of Andrew ( Andries) Truax and Sally Welch Truax . She was born in what was known as Canada East in 1804. She met and married George Getty 10 Dec 1827 in Dunham, Missisquoi, Quebec, Canada. They were the parents of eight children
