Delania Thompson was born to Archibald Thompson and Nancy Isle. She married Willis West Sr about 1836 in Texas. They moved onto a plantation in Lousiana. They had 11 children there. They lost everything in the Civil War and resettled in Texas. Her husband, Willis, died shortly after moving to Texas. She died in the small town of Nameless just a few miles outside of Jonestown, Texas, having lived a long life of 76 years.
