Sometime in 1944, Belle moved to Santa Fe, Santa Fe, New Mexico where her daughter, Gayle Ruth Wahl and her husband, Lester 'Tuffy' Davis were stationed [U.S. Army] and would soon start their own family.
Belle died on 09 May 1955 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
