Carl was born on Auguist 27,1938 in Clarksville, Arkansas to the late Carl and Helen Parker. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio,Texas. Carl earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hastings College and a Masters in Education from Southeatern Oklahoma State in Durant Oklahoma. Teaching was Carl's passionin life.He spent 27 years teaching English in Middle and High Schools in Oklahoma. He also taught part time at North Texas State College as well as Grayson County College and Murray State College. He also served as a substitute teacher at Pottsboro, S&S, Tom Bean and Sherman Schools. Mr. Parker was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Carl is survived by his wife Rose Marie of Sherman, Texas, one son Chris Parker of Sherman, Texas; one sister, Mary Alice Dobesh of Fort Worth, Texas; one grand child, Kelsey Lux of Pottsboro,Texas; one sister in law Dori Towne- of Sherman, Texas; and three nieces. He will be buried Wednesday October 3 at St Mary's Cementary, the Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers.
