Dorothy Eileen Lee, 70, of Springfield died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Hospital.
She was born May 12, 1923, in Springfield, the daughter of Walter and Catherine T. Ushman Wood. Preceding her in death were her father; and a brother, Frank Wood.
Mrs. Lee retired in 1988 as a bookkeeper for American Funeral Computer Services. She was a lifetime member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She had been a volunteer at Bethesda Lutheran Home, teaching a literacy program and a Bible class. She also did secretarial work for the chaplain at Doctors Hospital and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Janice) Huhtala of Prole, Iowa; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Irvin (Catherine) Pflueger of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a brother, Walter Wood of Marquette Heights; mother, Mrs. Catherine Wood of Pleasant Plains; three aunts; two uncles; five nieces; three nephews; and several cousins.
Services will be at Concordia Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Charles Olander officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
