Suffocation Caused Death Of Farmer

Spring Grove, Minn. (Special) -- A physician said today that suffocation caused the death of Arnold Guberud, 53, when a wagon fell on his chest and neck Thursday noon.
The hydraulic mechanism which was holding the wagon up, slipped and the wagon fell down, catching him between the box and the frame.
Mr. Guberud was born here March 25, 1908, son of John and Bolethe Johnson Guberud.
Except for living three years in La Crosse and six years at Elbow Lake, Minn. he had lived on the home farm three miles east of here.
On May 26, 1934, he married Stella Mathison at Elbow Lake.
Survivors are: his wife; two sons, Alden and Steven, at home; one daughter, Nancy, junior at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn.; three brothers, Ove, La Crescent; Morris, Chicago, and Carlton, Minneapolis. His parents, one brother and one sister have died.
The funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Rolf Hanson officiating. The body will lie in state at the church an hour before the service. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
