Mr. James Bell Burden, age 73, of Meadow Wood Dr., N.W., Rome, passed away Sunday, January 7, 1996 in a Rome hospital. He was the owner of the James B. Burden Insurance Agency in Rome and a decorated World War II veteran. Survivors include [his] wife, Mrs. Betty Warnick Burden, Rome; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Rumbaugh, Peachtree City; sons, James Hunter Burden, Rome [and] John M. Burden, Savannah; sisters, Mrs. Erma Chambers, Villa Rica [and] Mrs. Eloise Merrell, Carrollton; a brother, Sentell Burden, Bremen, and five grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 10 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Foldoe officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Bremen, with full military honors.
