Margaret "Peggy" J. Cousins, 58, of 1327 Sirwell St., Kittanning, died Saturday, Feb.12, 1994 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 29, 1935 in New Bethlehem to George "Dempsey" and Emogene (Crissman)(the accutal spelling is Criswell) Walker.
A homemaker, she was formerly employed by Big River Mfg. for more than 20 years and she had also worked as a nurses aide at Sugar Creek Rest Home and Armstrong County Health Center.
Mrs. Cousins was a past president of The Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Local No. 851. She enjoyed cooking and baking (especially wedding cakes). She also enjoyed camping.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph A. Cousins, whom she married August 21, 1988; a son, George F. Painter Jr. of Adrian; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Tammy) Bish of Templeton and Mrs. Kevin (Paula) Vaughn of Volant; two step-sons, Larry Cousins of Ford City and Ralph Cousins Jr. of Rimersburg; two step-daughters, Lorena Crytzer and Mrs. Dan (Denise) Murtland, both of Kittanning; two brothers, Milton T. "Manny" Walker of Youngstown, OH and Ronald Walker of Kittanning; three sisters, Mrs. Almo (Nancy) Magagnotti and Mrs. Thomas (Rose) Laird, both of Kittanning and Mrs. Harold (Pam) Cornman of Rural Valley; five grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George F. Painter, Sr; her second husband, William Peters III (actually IV); and one grandson, Shawn Bish.
Funeral services will be held at the Kennedy Blodgett Funeral Home, Kittanning on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1994 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Melvern M. McRoberts Jr., pastor of the Free Methodist Church in Kittanning officiating. Burial will take place in Mateer Cemetery. Leader Times 2/14/1994
