Annie was the first of ten children born to her parents, Elias Keagy and Barbara Good Buechley. She married Samuel Miller 4 Mar 1855 in Elk Lick Township, Somerset, PA. After their first child was born, they moved to Orange County, Waterloo, IA where she and Samuel lived out their lives. They had ten children: Mary Susan, John Oliver, Abigale, Daniel, Harvey, Richard, Elizabeth, Albert, Nora Belle, Robert B. Annie was active in the German Baptist Brethren Church in Iowa. Their family retained much of the dress, recipes and customs of their German ancestors, calling themselves "dunkards" or Pennsylvania Dutch.
