Bedford F. Thomason, 64 years of age, dropped dead while on his way to work Friday about 7am. He exchanged morning greetings with D.E. Hoey and after walking about ten steps further was seen to fall. This was near the depot. Two young men, who saw him fall rushed to his assistance but he never spoke again.
Mr. Thomason leaves an invalid wife and eight children. The children are as follows:

Mrs Leon Wright of Cadillac
Mrs. John McLeod of Ann Arbor
George B. Thomason of Stanton
Luther A. of Flint
Green T. of Detroit and Richard A. at home
Mr. Thomason edeared himself to those who knew him best by his simple devotion to duty and his death came as a great shock not only to his relatives but to the whole community.
Besides his immediate family he leaves one brother Daniel Thomason of Cripple Creek, Colorado and a sister Mrs. Jas Coffee of Arkansas.
Private funeral servies were held at the residence at 2pm Sunday, Rev. Edward Hocking officiating. Interment was made in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
