Auburn Loyd Clark, 79, of Woodville, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM today, Wednesday, March 11, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with Moore-Cortner Feneral Home in charge of arrangements.
Auburn is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jewel (Swearengin)Clark of Woodville, Jackson, AL; brothers, David Clark of Winchester, TN, and Roy Clark of Vienna, IL; aunts, Nola (Robertson)Withrow of Keota, OK and Edna Clark of Roialton, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Auburn was preceded in death by his parents, Mack Roy and Susan Frances (Robertson) Clark; his step-mother, Jennie Lee Clark; brothers, Pal Clark and T.W. Clark; and a sister, Eualle Lee Martin.
Mr. Clark was a retired steel worker with Inter-Lake and Acme Steel of Rivedale,IL, and a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving at Pearl Harbor and the South Pacific in World War II. He was honored with the Silver Star for bravery.
