Roswell Daily Record: "Leroy F. Chambers. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 1993, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, for Leroy F. Chambers, 69, of Roswell, who passed away Wednesday at a local hospital. Dr. Bobby Renfro of the First Baptist Church will officiate, Eunice Dickey will provide the special music. Leroy was born March 21, 1924, in Charlestown, Mo., to John W. and Mary C. Fink Chambers. Both parents preceded him in death, as did a sister, Bertha Pullam and a brother, John Ray Chambers. He married Josephine M. Ogles on Oct. 11, 1947, in Roswell. She survives him at the family home. Other survivors include two sons. He is also survived by two sisters and a granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephews, many special friends and golfing buddies. Mr. Chambers had been a Roswell resident since 1937. He owned and operated the Capitol TV and Roswell Communications, Inc. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 until 1946, in the C.B.I. Leroy was a member of the B.P.O.E. No. 969, and a member of the NMMI Golf Association. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel."
His birth certificate refers to him as "Lee Roy Chambers."
His mother always said his name was Leroy Fink Chambers (her maiden name was Fink).
