Benjamin James Farmer June 8, 1924 – May 25, 2011
Ben was born in Delta, Colorado, to Fred and Bessie Farmer. He enlisted in the Army in 1943.
His contributions to this community have been many, including operating "Ben Farmer's Sheet Metal & Heating" in Grand Junction for many years. During that time, his generosity and kindness to his customers was well known.
His son, Ben Jr., was killed in a plane crash.
He has two surviving daughters, Robyn Meehan and Lorna Lull; grandchildren, Ben and Will Lull and Tonya Meehan; great-grandson, William T. Corsi; six brothers and sisters, Ed, Alfred, and Mary West (all deceased), and surviving siblings, Bob Farmer, Ruby Kelly and Mae Patzig.
Burial is at the VA Memorial Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Parkway in Grand Junction, Colorado on June 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome.
