Judith Ann, said to be Norweigian, was one of five known children of Jeremiah Evans and an unknown daughter of John T. Booles, Sr. and Elizabeth Heath East, both born in Georgia. She was born October 16, 1822 in Georgia.
She married John Skinner Adcock, son of John Adcock and Lydia Lowe, in Dadeville, Tallapoosa County, Alabama on January 16, 1840.
Besides the eight children shown in this memorial, they had Nancy Elizabeth, born December 18, 1841 in Tallapoosa County, who married Francis W. “Frank” Hood October 18, 1859 also in Tallapoosa County. She died October 12, 1876, still in Tallapoosa County. Also they had John C. Adcock, born January 21. 1844 in Tallapoosa County, who never married but was a Private in the Civil War with Company G of the 21st Alabama Infantry Regiment and became a prisoner-of-war August 8, 1864 at Ship's Island, Mississippi where he died November 6, 1864 of ““chronic diarrhea” and was buried in grave number twelve.”
Judith Ann became a widow in 1884 after the death of John Skinner, died February 7, 1891 and was buried in the Pentecost United Methodist Church Cemetery in Thornton, Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
