June Mary Palmer was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Palmer and his wife Julia Ann (Frazier) Holliday. Her father died when she was only 8 years old.
June was a very artistic young woman, skilled in sewing and needlework, and interested in photography. She worked as a saleslady in several Frankfort stores.
She travelled by train with her younger brother in 1915 to visit the Panama Pacific Exposition in California. They also visited relatives who lived in California and Colorado.
On 11 Aug 1920, in Frankfort, Indiana, she married Cecil Whitcomb Goff. It was a double wedding. Cecil's sister Clare and Daniel Maynard Phillippi were also married at the same time.
June and Cecil had two children, H. Franklin Goff and Julia Mary (Goff) Peacock.
When Cecil became a minister in 1936, June became a minister's wife, serving many rolls in the Sunday schools and vacation Bible schools of the various churches.
Her husband, Cecil, retired from the ministry in 1959 and he died 1 Aug 1960. In December of 1961, June moved to Wesley Manor retirement home in Frankfort, where she remained active until shortly before her death.
