Andrew Jackson Wiley showed up in 1853 when he was listed as the administrator of the estate of John Quincy Wiley. Andrew Jackson Wiley's parentage has yet to be proven.

Andrew Jackson Wiley and Rebecca Ann Cato were married on 20 January 1859 in Conway County, AR. He and Rebecca then moved to Big Fork Township of Polk County, AR where they were listed, on the 1860 Census, with their first child, Julia Ann.

A.J. homesteaded 160 acres in what was then northwestern Conway County, in the Griffin Township, north and east of Appleton, AR. The 160 acres that he homesteaded is now in Pope County. It was there that A.J. and Rebecca raised 13 children. Julie Ann, Isah (Ike), Edward Thomas, Vicie E., John Quincy, Sarah Adaline, William Andrew Jackson, Caroline, James E., Emma, Needham Frank, George Washington, and Rebecca Ann. Caroline and James E. were twins.

Andrew Jackson Wiley was a farmer who was very active in the church. He was listed as an elder in the Church of Christ. He was also a charter member of the Masonic Lodge in Appleton.

Andrew Jackson Wiley's obituary reads as follows
March 3, 1904 - Appleton - "Uncle Jack" Wiley died at his home near this place the 23rd of last month at the advanced age of eighty-four years. He is survived by his wife and 12 children. Burial services were conducted at the family graveyard near his home.

There apparently was an error in the obituary as it read in the book. There were actually 11 children living at Andrew Jackson Wiley's death. Caroline and Isah were deceased at the time of his death.
