Children-Mary Elizabeth,William Mayfield, Sarah,Francis,Isabella,Laura,
Russell"Rush"Montgomery,James Thomas,Asmond Brockman Jr.
Asmond's plantation was used as a hospital during the Civil War.I do not have proof of who his parents are..lots of speculation.Census states his father is from Virginia.
There is much speculation about the spelling of his name on every census and document it is different but on his marriage license to Sarah in Elbert,Georgia it is Asmond.
Some of the family also say he went by Major Bell.
He married a second time after Sarah's death.
He was a Mason.
