George was born & lived at the same homestead his father & grandfather developed. This was his pride, it was his goal in life to hold on to it til his death. He accomplished that goal. He worked very laborous jobs his whole life. The city of Burley has a statue of a man holding a shovel. This is my memory of my father. He was a very honest and honorable man who taught the value of honesty & hard work. He was not a man to except charity. He did not ever experiance electricity living in his lifetime. The closest was in the form of a car battery that ran a occasional light & a few hours of TV per week that my brother had set up.
