| Birth: | Apr. 14, 1927 Crisman Porter County Indiana, USA | | Death: | Feb. 17, 1985 Danville Vermilion County Illinois, USA | Son of Clark Coppinger and Naomi Spencer Coppinger; husband of Virginia Harding Coppinger; father of 3 daughters; US Navy Veteran, WWII... 32nd degree Freemason and Shriner---those are the bare facts of his life.
Dad knew a lot of tragedy in his short life, but he kept going, kept fighting. He worked very hard to raise his family. He was honest and forthright.
He was the finest person I have ever known.
Thinking of you, Dad..today and always. Thanks for being my Dad.

I cannot say, and I will not say That he is dead. He is just away.
With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand, He has wandered into an unknown land. And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since he lingers there.
And you- you, who the wildest yearn For the old-time step and the glad return- Think of him faring on, as dear In the love of there as the love of here;
Think of him still as the same, I say; He is not dead-he is just away. ~~~
