Clyde Williams, 92, of Amarillo died Friday, April 11, 2008.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Ron Kohler officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Clyde was born Aug. 28, 1915, outside Colbert, Okla. He was one of 15 children born to B.F. and Irene Collins Williams. He had an identical twin brother, Claude Williams, who preceded him in death in 2002. He was a boilermaker welder and worked out of Local No. 531 in Amarillo until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Amarillo Masonic Lodge No. 731. He was a Third Degree Master Mason and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He married Audrey Stone on Jan. 8, 1938, in Corpus Christi. They were married for 70 years. He considered himself a Baptist, though he was not affiliated with a local church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; five sisters; and two granddaughters, Tania Lynn Baldwin and Lee Jeanette England.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey; two sons, Jerry Williams and wife Betty and Garvin Williams and wife Linda, all of Amarillo; three daughters, Wyleen Baldwin and husband Jack of Burneyville, Okla., Donna Woodard and husband Steve of Canyon and Theresa Seiber and husband Hugh of Donie; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
