FLOYD ARTHUR "CHUCK" VAUGHN –

Floyd Arthur "Chuck" Vaughn, 80, of Baroda, Mich., and formerly of Paris, died at 3:11 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Joseph, Mich. He was a self-employed painter and was also employed at Eastern Illinois University.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, with Pastor Brandon Koleda officiating.
Military graveside rites by American Legion Post 211 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 3601 will accompany burial in Little Grove Cemetery, Edgar Township.
Mr. Vaughn was born Feb. 18, 1926, at Paris, the son of Riley J. Vaughn and Chloe Jenkins Vaughn.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Vaughn McCarter; one grandchild, Laura Vaughn; and four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Vaughn served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in the operation of Iwo Jima of which he was a proud survivor. For this, he gave all the honor to God in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ his Savior. He practiced and confessed this his whole life. He was also part of the occupational forces in Japan for two years. He looked forward to seeing his God and Savior.
