Samuel Hons (Hons) Davis was born October 4, 1898, in San Marcos, Texas. He married Thelma Margaret Perry of Clearfork, Caldwell County, Texas, on July 24, 1921. The Seawillow home of Thelma Perry was the same two-story home that Hons had lived in with his family beginning in 1911.
He was a farmer, then worked for Greyhound Bus Lines as a mechanic for many years working for them in Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth and Dallas, Texas. He later farmed a number of years in Von Ormy, Texas, while employed by Alldridge Nursery, then lived for many years in San Antonio before he and Thelma moved to Pasadena, Texas, in the later 1980s.
They had one son, Hons (Man), and two daughters, Ruth Margaret (Davis) Patton and Barbara Elaine (Davis) Hannah.
