Sabrina Jean Roberts was born on March 10, 1993, to Tamara Jean Reichert Harris, in Renton, Washington. In His wisdom, the Lord brought Sabrina out of this life into His heavenly home on February 19, 2010, at the age of 16. A devoted Christian who never swayed from her faith in God, she loved her savior, Jesus, as her guiding light and she put her total trust in His hands. Sabrina entered God's family through Holy Baptism on May 9, 1993, and she was confirmed in the Christian faith at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Kent, Washington, on May 6, 2007. Her confirmation passage she chose was, "I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me," Psalms 13:6. Sabrina delighted in singing His praises and through her beautiful solos, especially on Christmas Eve and Easter morning, she enhanced worship services, often bringing tears of joy to many in the Lutheran Church of the Cross. A gift of God to us all, Sabrina touched the lives of everyone with whom she came in contact. Sabrina treated everyone equally with respect and compassion. To her, everyone was family. Our Lord Jesus and His disciple John encourage us often to "Love one another." And the writer to the Hebrews tells us, "for by doing so, some people have entertained angels without knowing it" (13:2) and it certainly feels that, in Sabrina, God gave us an earthly "angel" in our midst for almost 17 years. So bubbly, positive and excited about life, Sabrina touched the hearts of people from all age groups far beyond her own family, community, state and even nation. From an early age, Sabrina showed a passion for singing, dancing and theatre. She performed in various school theatre productions at Shadow Lake Elementary, Tahoma Junior High, and Tahoma Senior High School. Sabrina also performed at the Auburn Theatre, Carco Theatre in Renton, Village Theatre in Issaquah and Seattle Children's Theatre. She was nominated for a "5th Avenue Award" for best Ensemble for her role as Crystal in Tahoma High School's production of "Little Shop of Horrors." Sabrina dreamed of winning a "5th Avenue Award", attending a performing arts college, performing at the "5th Avenue Theatre", and then, Lord willing, moving onto New York's Broadway, her heart's desire. Sabrina loved being in the spot light. She worked for Radio Disney for four years singing and dancing at events throughout the Puget Sound area. Sabrina was elected Miss Teen Maple Valley competing for Miss Teen Washington for which she was actively involved in a number of community charity events throughout the Seattle area. Sabrina was also active in fundraising events for her uncle, Congressman Dave Reichert, where on two separate occasions she was introduced and photographed with First Lady Laura Bush and then President George W. Bush. She also sang the National Anthem at her uncle's election night rally. Another of Sabrina's shining moments was when she auditioned for, and was selected to star in a MTV reality show called "Made", along with her good friend Jenna. For ten weeks TV cameras followed her everywhere. The show aired nationally March 10, 2009, on her 16th birthday and was called "Two Spoiled Girly Girls Want to Become Mixed-Martial Artists". MTV brought her to New York for voice-overs which gave Sabrina a chance to see Broadway. After that wonderful and memorable trip with her mom to the big city, she continually spoke of going back to New York and one day seeing her name in lights on the city's major marquees. Sabrina's family was very important to her. She was very proud of all her relatives and loved the big family gatherings, especially on the holidays. She was a shining light for us all, but perhaps for no one more than her best friend and mother, father and four brothers. Sabrina loved and cherished her friends from theater and Tahoma High School who graced her life for being there when she needed them. Survivors include her beloved mother and father, Tammy and Jim Harris of Maple Valley; biological father, Kurt Roberts of Seattle; grandparents, Marlys and Larry Klontz of Maple Valley; Vicki Roberts of Seattle; Mary Harris of Whidbey Island; brothers, Mathew Johnson of Lawton, OK; Ryan MacFarlan of Burien; Brian Harris of Burien; Beau Harris of San Diego, CA. Ten beloved uncles and aunts, twenty-five beloved first cousins and four beloved nieces. Sabrina was preceded in death by her grandfathers, George Reichert, Bob Roberts, and Bob Harris. In memory of Sabrina Jean Roberts, the family has suggested that memorials may be made to: The 5th Avenue Theater, 1308 5th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101. Sabrina was laid to rest March 1, 2010 at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn. Sabrina Jean Roberts, forever in our hearts.
