BROWNSVILLE [Edmonson Co.]óWayne Alford, 91, of Brownsville died at 9 p.m. April 17, 2003, at a Brownsville nursing home.
The Poplar Bluff, Mo., native was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a son of the late Willie F. Alford and Bettie Doyle Alford and husband of the late Novis Raymer Alford and late Berthal Manco Smith Alford.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Raz Alford, and two sisters, Donnie Hayes and Ruth Mattingly.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Asphalt Church of Christ, where he was a member, with burial in New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, Buddy Alford and his wife, Judy, and David Alford and his wife, Judy, all of Brownsville; a daughter, Joyce Demunbrun and her husband, Danny, of Brownsville; a stepdaughter, Kaye Gordon and her husband, David, of Bowling Green; two sisters, Josephine Simmons of Bowling Green and Lavell Bishop of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Nickey, Lee and Steve Alford, all of Brownsville, Twyla Johnson and husband Don, and Tana Hunt and husband Richard, both of Bowling Green, and Melissa Lawrence and husband Gary of Brownsville; a foster grandchild; a stepgrandchild; and 10 great-grandchildren.
