June Marie Blickenstaff
August 2, 1931 to September 17, 2013
June, daughter of John and Florence Morrison, was born in Modesto and lived there the majority of her life. She remembered a childhood when Modesto was a smaller town, and she and her younger sister, Helen, would roller skate, ride bicycles, and go swimming without a worry of being out and about. Her older sister, Nina, and six brothers were always watching out for them, as they were the youngest.
June met and married a wonderful man, Leonard Blickenstaff, who was a World War II veteran and served as a paratrooper. They were together until his death on June 28, 2012. She was also predeceased by her parents and five of her brothers. Leonard and June enjoyed their membership at Neighborhood Church.
She is survived by her children Sally Turner (Ron), Patty Truman (Duane), Linda Richards (Mike), Eddie Blickenstaff (Anne), and Diane Blickenstaff.
She had nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Her brothers were George, Jesse, Jack, Pete, Ray, and Roy Morrison; her sisters, Nina Anderson and Helen Johnson.
