Mrs. Myrtle L. Couch Dies in Son's Home
The death of Mrs. Myrtle Lavanda Couch, 74, occurred at 4:40 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of her son, William Couch, 10 Ninth Street. Mrs. Couch had been in failing health several years.
She was born April 1, 1885, at Pattonsburg. She was married in June 1902, to John William Couch in Chillicothe. She had made her home in Kansas City since 1915 and on Aug. 11 of this year returned to Chillicothe to be with her son.
In addition to her son, she leaves four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the chapel of the Gordon Home for Funerals, conducted by the Rev. Medford Speaker.
Mrs. Omer Skinner sang "What a Friend" and "Rock of Ages." Miss Martha Ryan organist, played the accompaniment.
Casket bearers were Gillis Johnson, Drew Campbell, Louis Koehly, Martin Haines, Bob Golden and Clyde Bennett.
Interment was in the family lot at Edgewood Cemetery.
