Janet G. Bammerlin, 71, Roann, passed away at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004 at Wabash Community Hospital, Wabash. She died in the emergency room, and had been in failing health for two years.
She was born Nov. 3, 1932 in Miami County to Vera H. Harrison and Earl E. Butt. She graduated from Peru High School in 1950, and married Dean Bammerlin Nov. 15, 1953 in Peru. He survives.
Bammerlin was a homemaker, and a member of the Olive Branch Church of God, Roann, Perry Do Rite Club, Red Hat Society and Bell Begus Square Dancing Club.
Survivors besides her husband include two daughters, Susan Rensberger, Akron, and Karen Draper and husband Doug, Roann; a son, Jay Bammerlin, Roann; three grandchildren, Lori Lafollette, Sara Hampton and Alan Rensberger; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Keith Butt and wife Stella, Fort Wayne, and Lyle Butt and wife LaVada, Akron.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with the Rev. Lowell Burrus and the Rev. Lawrence See officiating. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery, Akron. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Olive Branch Church of God, Roann, or the Roann Fire Department First Responders.
