James H Brown married Catherine Morning Dye in Monroe Co, TN 7- 5 -1849

Co L 3rd Tn Vol Calvary.
His wife accompanied him up until his Capture.
Sent to Andersonville.
Her Brother Isaac Dye has a affidavit that the two are married and that he witnessed the marriage.
James H Hamilton her brother in law was also captured and seen James Brown.
He was shot by rebel shoulders in the shoulder while going to enlist in the union service. Brown and old man Casey got to Talking Politics , Casey "Cussed" the Officers and Brown took it up and was shot by Casey The Brown Enlisted in the Union Army.
His wife died of Cancer of the Face, I don't know where she is buried.
Her parents were William and Sarah Dye, of Monroe Co, TN, and Rutherford Co, NC, Williams parents were Henry and Anna Dye of Chester Co, Sc and Rutherford Co,NC.
William has a twin brother named Thomas that moved to his land and took up his children after Williams Death.
Sarah, didn't approve of Mournings marriage to Brown.
