Birth: Mar. 11, 1831, England
Death: Jun. 2, 1851
Saint Louis
St. Louis City
Missouri, USA

John was born to James Clark and Elizabeth Pearson Clark in Clawthorpe, Burton, Westmoreland, England. His father was a mason. The family joined the LDS Church and came to the United States on the James Pennell, arriving in New Orleans on 23 November 1950. The family stayed in St. Louis to earn enough money to cross the Plains to Utah until 1956. Sadly, John did not survive one of the cholera outbreaks that killed thousands.

According to the St. Louis City Death Records, 1850-1908 (text shown below), John was buried in the City Cemetery, but I am uncertain the name or location of that cemetery at the present time.
