We put our Doberman, Percy, to sleep today, because he had thyroid cancer and severe hip dysplasia. We believe his cancer had spread as, for the past week, he suffered a lot of pain and the pain medication was no longer cutting it. He had survived cancer for a year, but now, we knew it was time. He was six-years-old.
The poor dog suffered from various genetic disorders since he was a pup, including a crippled foot. He developed thyroid disease when he was only three-years-old, and two years later, it turned into cancer.
He will be missed.
