Eva Margaret WASSEMILLER was the daughter of Kathryn WASSEMILLER and Georg "George" WASSEMILLER. The family were Prussians whose ancestors had immigrated to the Volga River region of Russia under Catherine the Great.

Eva immigrated in 1906 according to the date she provided on the 1930 census. Her family settled in Russell Co, KS with a large number of German Russians, or Volga Germans as they are known now.

Married: 10 Jan 1907 in Trinity Lutheran Church at Bender Hill, Russell Co, KS. This church burned down many years ago and only the cemetery and stone steps for men and women to enter the church separately are left. Records associated with this church probably no longer exist.
