Daughter of Thomas Clark Brennan and Marie Christine Keller. She married William Mortimer Barker 6 June 1931 at Waukegan, Lake County, Illinois. Their families didn't learn of the event for almost a year. They were the parents of three children: Thomas Brennan Barker/1932, Laura Mae(Barker)Williams/1935, William Mortimer Barker II/1948. During WWII both Harriet and Bill worked for the Fansteel Corporation in North Chicago, Lake County, Illinois engaged in defense work. Lived in Park Ridge, Cook County, Illinois from 1951 until retirement in 1972 when they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where their only daughter lived. She was an avid gardener with a special love for iris. And in spite of severe arthritis she was always knitting, usually an afghan or a baby blanket for a grandchild. Harriet died of lung cancer at the age of 80 years, 11 months. She had smoked her entire life.
